USI Italia gliding carts are made of high-strength steel and are used to move a vehicle from one workstation to another.

The carts move on rails and are used in all repair activities where a pull logic applies. For example, when the performance of a generic process (in this case the repair of a vehicle) takes place looking backwards, that is, the performance of the downstream activity dragging the upstream one.
If we consider that the evaporation of water into air requires energy (0.68 kW per liter of evaporated water) we can see that a humidification system represents a viable alternative to expensive air conditioning systems and thereby provides an efficient way to remove excess heat while reducing operating costs simply through the use of water.
The working dimensions of each cart is 330 x 552 mm.
A set of four carts is required to move the vehicle from one location to another and the number of rails on which these carts will run can vary from five to six, depending on the axial distances of the stationary vehicles.

A vehicle can be moved using inverted V rails welded onto profiles embedded between the gratings or embedded in the floor or with overhead rails fixed to the gratings or above the floor.
The first solution is the more conventional option, and is generally adopted in new builds when substantial civil engineering work is already planned.
The second solution is preferable if you want a more flexible and faster installation, but only if the floor is completely flat and level.
Gliding carts can be used both in preparation areas and within spray booths where a pull-type workflow procedure is implemented.
